SimforHealth virtual reality and medical training

Context

SimforHealth, a specialist in digital simulation software for healthcare, has collaborated with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region to train France's 35,000 student nurses.

The aim of the project was to develop virtual reality simulators to train healthcare professionals in complex procedures such as blood transfusion and injection into a catheter chamber.

To meet these needs, SimforHealth called on Matts Digital to supply the VR equipment and handle the logistics.

Objectives

- Deploy virtual reality simulators in hospitals and nursing schools in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

- Train healthcare professionals in the use of VR for complex medical procedures.

Simplify the logistics and maintenance of deployed VR solutions.

Results

- Equipping 30 hospitals (IFSI and Croix Rouge) with HTC VIVE Pro VR headsets, hygiene kits and “VR Ready” computers.

- Preparation and installation of VR solutions by Matts Digital on site.

- Training professionals in the use of VR simulators.

- Operational maintenance and technical hotline 24/7.

- Simplified deployment of VR solutions thanks to the expertise of Matts Digital.
