Meta Horizon Managed Services (MHMS) is a suite of professional services that enables organizations to securely manage users, Meta Quest headsets, and XR experiences. The platform centralizes headset management, content integration, and application deployment, with advanced security features tailored to organizations. By signing up for Meta Horizon Managed Services, you open the door to new business solutions and introduce new ways of working.

Starting February 20, 2026, Meta will no longer sell Meta Horizon Managed Services licenses. Existing customers will be able to continue using and receiving support for MHMS until January 4, 2030. MHMS licenses will be offered free of charge to customers already enrolled via the official page. The separate “For Work” and “For Education” offerings are no longer available.

Managed Meta Accounts: In the Admin Center, you can easily manage and create accounts for members of your organization using automated processes and links to two-factor authentication services.

Visualization: View the total number of accounts created and activated, the number of accounts at risk, and the two-factor authentication adoption rate in real time. You can also track all your devices, with the number of active devices by model and by department/position.

Device management

Meta Quest Admin Center

Allows you to manage your devices by choosing their configuration, managing security, setting the network and time zone, enforcing a PIN code with specific requirements, authorizing unknown applications, and deploying APKs remotely.

Device profiles

Create your collections of settings and applications (including library items) to apply and synchronize them across multiple devices simultaneously. Device profiles can be applied directly to a device, a group, or can be set as the default profile.

Safety

MHMS continually invests in protecting your data and your company devices. Some of the features included are security policies, malware protection on the device, and authentication protocols for certificate-based WiFi and VPN networks.

Application management

Manage your applications simply and efficiently

Private applications via professional channels: Simplified process for companies wishing to create, host, and deploy customized applications specific to their industry. You can securely and privately distribute your applications within your organization using MHMS via a dedicated professional channel.

Private applications via APK: Developers can provide an APK link via the Admin Center, which will be accessible for download and installation on managed devices.

Shared mode

Batch configuration

Shared mode can be configured in batches, just like other device settings in the Admin Center. Administrators can create multiple shared mode configurations, applicable to one or more device groups with customized settings.

Flexible device management roles

IT administrators can designate shared mode managers for a specific group of devices to allow them to customize the experience across teams. These managers have permission to modify locked applications in the Admin Center.

Quick start without an account

Shared mode is not governed by a human identity at the system level, so no account is required to access the device.

Passcode lock

Session management can be enhanced by creating simple access codes per session to ensure the security of inactive devices.

Shared mode managers can lock/unlock applications in the Admin Area for an entire batch of devices.

Simplified experience

When starting their session, users are presented with a simplified introduction before moving on to a predetermined application experience (via the single application experience in shared mode), or are shown a shared mode application launcher instead of the standard VR home screen.

Brand experience

Administrators can choose to customize and create a branded experience in shared mode by importing their organization's logo into the Admin Area.
